Meet the Team

 

Alfredo Vasquez 

An experienced civil attorney, Alfredo has experience working closely with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. His pragmatic approach and determined advocacy have resulted in successful outcomes for clients inside and outside the courtroom. He is bilingual in English and Spanish. 

Before opening his own practice, Alfredo worked at a general practice law firm in Washington, D.C. where he focused on family law and civil litigation. There, he handled contested and uncontested divorces, guardianship petitions, real estate litigation, wills and trusts, and bankruptcy petitions. 

Alfredo previously worked at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, Northern Virginia's legal aid provider. He provided low income clients with high quality representation, covering matters such as landlord-tenant, debt collection and foreclosure defense, and elder law. 

Prior to his legal career, Alfredo worked at the world's largest proxy advisory firm, where he advised institutional shareholders on corporate governance at publicly traded companies in Latin America and the United States. His background in financial markets informs his client-focused law practice.  

He earned aB.A. from Duke University and J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. His bar admissions include Washington, D.C. and Virginia. 

Philippe Lin 

Prior to joining the Law Office of Alfredo Vasquez, Philippe interned with the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, working on housing, bankruptcy, nonprofit, and antitrust litigation.

He is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese. 

Philippe serves as Secretary of the Young Lawyers Section of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia and as an alternate BADC delegate to the American Bar Association House of Delegates.

His bar work centers on practical legal education that helps lawyers work faster and solve client problems.

He earned a B.A. from Soochow University in Taiwan, an LL.M. from Peking University in China, and a J.D. from Indiana University  Bloomington. His bar admissions include Maryland, and his D.C. Mariana de la Parra

Mariana de la Parra serves as the Intake Specialist for the Law Office of Alfredo Vasquez.

As the first point of contact for prospective and current clients, Mariana manages consultation scheduling, supports attorneys across active cases, and handles a range of administrative work.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and proficient in Korean. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mariana built a career in audiovisual, literary, and marketing translation across English, Korean, and Spanish. She holds a literary translation certification in Korean-Spanish from the Korean Cultural Center in Mexico.

Her multilingual background and translation experience bring a strong eye for detail and clear communication to her work supporting clients and attorneys.
